OUR CHURCH

As a church, we believe Christ called us to be and to make disciples.  Here at DBC we teach that discipleship is a life-long journey.  One that is best taken in the company of others.  As such, you'll find that we are quite Community-oriented.  We value building community as well as serving the community around us.  Sometimes that is through prayer, or raising money to support someone in need, or banding together to do work at someone's home, or simply going out together and having a good time.  Discipleship, like life, is a journey-and you are welcome to take that journey with us.  

 

We also believe that one of the primary means of discipleship is studying scripture.  So you'll find plenty of opportunities to study the Bible here.  We offer a co-ed Bible study because Jesus taught men and women together and we want to model his example as we have much to learn from one another.  We also offer separate Bible studies for Men, Women, & Teens because we also recognize the apostle Paul encouraged this and some of us are simply more comfortable studying in these community groups.  Whichever you choose, we look forward to seeing you!

OUR PASTOR

Is ordained by the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (4Cs), a former military chaplain, linguist, foreign missionary & indefatigable coffee drinker. His theological training includes Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Talbot School of Theology, and the School of Biblical Studies through Youth With a Mission (YWAM). He and his lovely wife (who was also a foreign missionary) have two adult children.
